A 2010 resolution from the Kernersville Board of Aldermen and mayor supporting an ordinance prohibiting tethering of dogs as their primary method of confinement received attention during last week’s Forsyth County Board of Commissioners briefing when Chair Dave Plyler shared the Town’s show of support during renewed discussion surrounding the issue.
Commissioners have spent more than a month discussing enacting an ordinance that would ban tethering across the county, except in certain circumstances where dogs would be supervised. They are scheduled to vote on the matter during their Monday, Oct. 24 meeting.
