Armed subject arrested

On September 18 at 2:23 a.m. officers with the Kernersville Police Department (KPD) responded to 116 Century Wood Ct. on a reported unknown trouble. According to a KPD news release, upon arrival, officers encountered a 25-year-old female who had been assaulted. Officers approached the residence and were allegedly confronted by Bradley Justin Everhart, who was armed with a handgun. Officers said Everhart retreated, barricaded himself in the residence and refused to come out.
According to police, at 5:25 a.m. Everhart was taken into custody. He was charged with two felony counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a handgun, assault on a female, assault on an unborn child and resist, obstruct, delay a law enforcement officer. Everhart was placed into the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center with no bond allowed.
