Motorcylist killed

On Thursday Sept. 15, at approximately 2:25 pm, officers with the Kernersville Police Department (KPD)responded to the intersection of Bost and Donnell streets on a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.
According to police, a blue 2006 Kawasaki sport bike, operated by 21-year-old Tyler Wayne Hayden of Kernersville, was traveling east on Bost Street. A dark brown 2005 Toyota Tundra truck, operated by 21-year-old Wyatt Stephen Joyner of Walnut Cove, was traveling west on Bost Street. Police said as both vehicles approached the intersection of Bost and Donnell streets, the vehicles collided. Joyner suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. Hayden was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) with life threatening injuries.
Police reported that while receiving treatment at WFBMC, Hayden succumbed to the injuries he had sustained as a result of the collision.
