Last Tuesday, June 28, the Kernersville Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a $44.6 million budget that includes a 2.75 cent tax increase. This will raise the property tax rate to 57 cents per $100 valuation. A noticeable feature in this year’s budget is the lengthy list of capital expenditures and infrastructure projects that will be completed without limiting the Town’s existing services.
