Deere-Hitachi to create 340 jobs

Deere-Hiatchi is moving forward with an expansion that will create 340 jobs at its Kernersville manufacturing facility, officials announced this morning at a news conference. Deere-Hiatchi is expected to spend $97 million on the four-year project, which involves closing a facility in Japan and moving the full-time positions to Kernersville. The company will purchase 60 acres of land adjacent to its facility. Deere-Hitachi currently employs 743 workers, officials said at the news conference.
