Road projects

The North Carolina Department of Transportation has about $1.8 billion in highway projects planned in the Division 9 area over the next few years, with many of those in Forsyth County and Kernersville. Those include the Union Cross Road widening project, the Macy Grove Road interchange and extension, the beltway and eventually the widening of Hopkins Road and extension of Big Mill Farm Road across Business 40 to Harmon Creek Lane.
