Mrs. Rebecca Ann Davis Flynt, 82, passed away December 20, 2019 peacefully at her home. She was born in Forsyth County on September 6, 1937 to the late Reuben Thomas Davis and Irene Shore Atkins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rebecca was a member of First Baptist Church in Kernersville. She loved collecting all things but especially music boxes and angels. She loved the beach and to crochet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Clay Flynt, Jr., a brother, Johnny Davis and sister Pat Davis.
Surviving are; five children, Clay (Susan) Flynt, Kiva (Kenny) Goad, Dwayne (Melissa) Flynt, Darrell Flynt, and Steven (Alicia) Flynt, ten grandchildren, Molly Stoltz, Sean Flynt, Abby Cox, Allan Goad, William Goad, Ross and Austin Flynt, Kali, Mason, and Bailey Flynt, five great-grandchildren, Dash, River, and Boone Stoltz, Scout Cox, and Wren Flynt, five brothers, Jack, Gary, Wayne, Reuben “Pug” Thomas, Jr. , and Albert Davis, one sister, Sylvia Baker, and a special thanks to her two caregivers, Melanie and Tina for their attentiveness and love they gave Mrs. Flynt.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Kernersville with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Flynt family. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church 401 Oakhurst Street Kernersville, NC 27284.
